Roger Austin discusses dumb laws in Gainesville and elsewhere
Roger Austin is a Gainesville, Florida, based political consultant specializing in all areas of state and local campaigns. Austin is a serial graduate of the University of Florida, receiving his undergraduate, masters and law degrees there. Today, Austin runs his own firm and has consulted candidates all over the state.
Between campaign cycles he is completing his Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Florida and is writing his dissertation on the topic of campaign finance reform. He has also been an adjunct lecturer in the Political Campaigning Program at the University of Florida.
In this interview, Roger Austin discusses dumb laws around his hometown of Gainesville, Florida.
He also discusses the impact of dumb laws and the possible motivations for why we have so many laws on the books.

Interestingļ¼ Now your post started to make me wonder why I suffered my law class last semester.. I guess it’s because not all of the laws out there are “dumb laws”, so not all of them are interesting..lol!
